Copper Foil Stained Glass Workshop

Discover the art of copper foil stained glass in a relaxed, hands-on workshop at my garden studio in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.

Copper foil is a technique used to join individual pieces of glass together, making it ideal for creating decorative pieces, intricate designs and colourful hanging artwork.

What you'll learn

Whether you're completely new to stained glass or simply looking for a creative day away from your usual routine, I'll guide you through the process and help you create a piece to take home.

You can choose from existing templates or bring along your own idea for a suncatcher, subject to approval in advance. With different colours, textures and shapes to explore, you'll have the chance to create something that reflects your own style.

During the workshop, I'll introduce you to the basics of:

Select glass and work with a design

Cut and shape glass

Use a diamond grinder to refine the edges

Apply and burnish copper foil around the glass

Assemble and solder the pieces together
